The Intelligent Gel battery has a built in integrated computer chip to monitor and diagnose your electrical signal. It provides an alarm whenever voltages are below or above standard parameters. It also withstands approximately 50% more "charging cycles" for a longer life.

SB+ has been supporting the power-sports battery needs since 2008.

"Flooded" batteries are the "old style" that you can see the acid inside. Low lead content makes these batteries a lower quality with lower warranty and may be hazardous if not correctly handled. They must be shipped DRY with a container of sulfuric acid for activating. SB+ does not sell "flooded" batteries due to the fact that the customer has to handle sulfuric acid (extremely dangerous), and pre-charge the battery before installation. Flooded batteries must be vented to prevent explosion.

An SLA battery is a Sealed Lead Acid battery so that it does not require a vent. SLA batteries are ideal for UPS power supplies (small) up to the (large) batteries used in large Mobility Scooters used by handicapped people.

Battery chargers are rated by AH (Amp Hours) which means the amount of power they produce per hour. All of the chargers we supply may be left on the battery indefinitely to keep the battery "tended". Choose a charger depending on how fast you want to charge the battery but not more than HALF of the battery rating....for example: an YTX7A-BS or XTAX7A-BS battery is rated at 6AH (6 amps) so a 3AH charger will fully charge it in TWO HOURS and keep it charged. A 1.5 AH charger will charge it in FOUR HOURS. NOTE: Battery tenders typically WILL NOT charge a dead battery! The battery must be partially charged before the "tender" senses there is enough voltage to start charging!!!
